The Hidden Messages

“The Hidden Messages are undoubtedly our favourite new band of 2006”
Audiojunkies
"'Taxis & Trains' is the best song I have heard this year bar NONE!"
Colin Weston, Drowned In Sound
Yes, its true, they could both be wrong. Journos have made mistakes before, so why don’t you make your own mind up? The Hidden Messages have the uncanny ability to write intelligent, brilliant, twisted pop songs and manage to throw in catchy choruses that hook you and never let go. Their debut release of live favourite ‘Over’ and the epic ‘Elephant Graveyard’, heralds the band’s stab at becoming the finest purveyors of post-pop of the 21st Century.

Following in the footsteps of Dick Whittington and Oliver Twist, Matt and Edd moved to London in 2005, where they were joined by Matt's schoolmates Kenny and Justin.
Despite being based in and around East London, they decided not to use the tried and tested London's Burning formula of name checking London streets in their songs, developing and whinging on about Class A drug habits, and decided to concentrate on the important things for a band. Namely, melodies, harmonies, timpani, marimbas, musicals, The Jungle Book, Wilson, Bernstein, Su Doku, Spector, Super Furry Animals, and super furry animals.

The Hidden Messages will have you dancing, clapping and singing along. Do you remember what it’s like to be in love with a bands songs, I mean so in love it’s hurts you to not hear them each day? If you don’t, you soon will.
